Today, I went to the Environmental Foundation with activists from Shepard Korea as an activity at the Seoul branch of Hot Pink Dolphins.

The Greenwashing Boat program will continue without wavering. Shepard Korea and its counterparts announced in advance that they would visit the protest today, but at around 9:30 a.m. today, the Environmental Foundation said on Instagram, "Thank you for showing interest" in the Green Boat, and let's call the absurd sophistry a statement."

In front of the foundation's front door, there was a signboard reading "Welcome to the Environmental Foundation outside of Shepard Korea." (Groaning on the back of the neck even before entering.)

Lee Mi-kyung, president of the Korea Environment Foundation, called the activists "young" who visited the protest and said, "They had a hard time coming despite the cold weather." After the meeting, the CEO asked for a photo (What are you going to use it for?) and the secretary-general came out along the corridor to press the button, and the CEO did not forget to say, "You're so reliable because you have young activists like me." (In the end, he got angry and told me to stop saying "young man.")

Lee Mi-kyung, CEO of the Environmental Foundation, is living in a different world. None of the words he and the secretary general said at the meeting were "concerned about the environment."

Airplanes also have business seats, and the secretary said, "What classism is that when you put a price difference on a cruise ticket?" (That's classism...)…There are a lot of people who like to fly on a cruise and support it, who have been using the Plaza Hotel building for a cheap seat since the COVID-19 pandemic (What's wrong with this? Bragging about getting preferential treatment for connections??), what's wrong with using a bamboo toothbrush on a cruise? (Ugh!!)
I'm so stressed that I've already forgotten some of the content, but everything I've heard for 30 minutes or so is like this. Poor my ears..

With this visit, the Environmental Foundation is not an environmental organization
I only found out more clearly that it is an organization that solidifies the cartel of power and capital.

I think it is necessary to clarify and disclose the deep-rooted cartels of the Environmental Foundation, which are trying to justify cruise ship tourism by addressing various agendas including climate, peace and anti-war as well as the environment. First of all, I want to stop them from using their names. Please show your solidarity with many climate and anti-war activists..

The Environmental Foundation seems to have the same direction, but it is a very dangerous foundation that helps solidify completely different directions and erodes the environmental movement to the taste of companies and capital. It looks like the Democratic Party of Korea in the political arena.

The green-boat response should not stop short of simply banning a cruise ship from landing. We need to thoroughly identify and de-strap environmental groups and activists whether they are playing puppets in their hands. (Now Rachel Carson Hall is nowhere near) Here's to our sustainable environmental movement..
