When the current news is terrible, the stock price hits a bottom, and when the general public is fascinated by information such as earnings reports and stock splits, it forms a vertex. Ordinary traders and investors buy stocks when the stock price almost reaches the top with cool news, and when the media delivers terrible news, they throw stocks away when the stock price hits the bottom.
The reason why ordinary people continue to lose money and true professionals continue to make profits, good or bad, is because they play games with different rules, not luck.
Amateurs invest with their hunch and feelings, resulting in losses, while experts understand the probability and do not come at them recklessly. They are like professional poker players.
So the investment philosophy should be as simple as below.
▶ Don't buy or sell shares without looking at the chart.
▶ Don't buy stocks when you hear good news, especially when the chart moves differently from the news.
▶ Don't buy stocks even after the stock price crashes. The more the stock trading continues, the lower the stock price falls.
▶ Don't buy stocks when chart draws a downward curve (I'll tell you which line is the downward curve).
▶ No matter how low the price/earnings (P/E) falls, don't buy stocks when the chart is on a downward curve. After a few more weeks, you'll see why the stock fell.
▶ Be consistent. It's a similar situation, but sometimes if you buy stocks and then sell them, you don't learn anything, you don't improve your skills or your profits.
Reading and analyzing charts technically is not a difficult science. It's neither magic nor astrology. It's like learning to read an electrocardiogram that tells you the health of the market very simply. A competent analyst examines and checks stock charts, just as a doctor looks at a patient's X-rays, performs a blood test, and checks a heart rate graph before making a diagnosis. Now you have to become an intern in the stock market.
