There was an incident that made me decide to make a seminar under the theme of "Reading Marx and Historical Classics - Western Episodes", and when undergraduate students gathered for a seminar, they complained among themselves about the book "Capitalism Implementation Debate", and asked me for guidance. At first, I refused because I was not a Western history major and I searched the context of history to understand Marx, but when I went, this was really serious. The book was a controversy in the 1940s and 1950s, and it stopped there. I was really shocked to see that I couldn't go to any of the quantitative economic history and I was still studying with that 1980s activist list. Why isn't this updated? I thought it was my seniors' fault, so I thought someone should point out the overall context and link it to Marx's text, so I lived a long time with a certain sense of debt that I should make it. When I was connected to my juniors, I could organize and guide them, but now that I had no connection with the kids in my early 20s, I only had my debt, but I hope I have an opportunity to pay it back. So I hope a lot of people in their early 20s will come. Actually, I hope a lot of elderly people will come. The discussion on history is fun. I hope people who want to listen to it like liberal arts. I always feel it, but I need people to connect it. People who study Marxist history see that there are few except for teachers in the social and economic history line, and honestly, I don't know what Marxist history they think is now. As a theoretical system, it is necessary to point out how it is connected to Marx's logic to be inherited and systematized, but since that's not possible, everyone keeps leaning toward the discussion of quantitative economic history that is considered objective. The most fundamental reason why I can't let go of the concept of "Asian production style theory" is that I have a strong desire to do something like this. We need to set a direction so that we can think by connecting socialism with lifestyle. There is nothing I want to see if I can find that direction by myself with classics.
