Daehan Theater is closing.
As soon as I joined my first job, I worked outside at the Daehan Theater for a while within a few months.
The Korean Theater had to submit a third-party feasibility report to issue bonds to rebuild them into multiplexes.
A request was made to our department, and my superiors, who didn't like to work, handed over the entire project to me, a new employee.
The office of Segye Corporation, which owns the Korean Theater, was inside the Korean Theater. The vice president, who was the client, was in his late 50s with no hair, and when I looked at my business card, I saw that my title was only one employee, and I had to ask him to write a good report, so I couldn't call it carelessly, and he always called me 'Park Saerim' because he didn't have a title to call me well. Park Saerim, not Mr. Park.
The vice president works in a really shabby and narrow old office. He only made partitions with bricks in the space where the vice president was. If I went around an hour or two, I would often make "missed" and kimchi stew in the same office and have a late lunch. I remember having a meeting at the table with the kimchi stew pot aside.
The financial sector cannot oppose the Korean Theater, which is the epitome of Korean theaters, to create multiplexes, and it was like a go-stop because a third-party feasibility report is necessary under the regulations, and we are in a position to write a report for money.
I went to the National Assembly Library in Yeouido as if I were doing a university homework, searched for materials on Korean films, made a database of the number of visitors and theaters over the past few decades, introduced some recent multiplex cases, and made a report that it would be great if the Korean Theater also increased the number of seats.
I was surprised to see the huge number of moviegoers in the 1960s and 1970s. Wasn't it the first heyday of Korean movies when going to the theater was the only leisure life.
The manager, who was secretly looking at the ugly pictures on the computer in the office, approved my report almost as it was (which was reflected in the back window in the evening), and the Korean Theater did det financing as scheduled, and a few years later, I heard that there was a multiplex, so I haven't heard of anyone watching a movie there.
The company's former president Cho Seung-kwan gives him a national exercise at 3 p.m. every day and leaves the company for half a year.
