🔋 Battery/Charge

As for the battery capacity, I was able to make three to four round trips from Jeju Island to Seogwipo. I don't think it's bad.

However, the charging infrastructure is a problem, and without an adapter, you can only use a supercharger. There are hundreds of electric charging stations in Jeju Island, but only two superchargers. There was an error with the adapter while I was using it, so I went to a supercharger that was only 25 km away and charged it.

Control only on 🖥 ️ display

The cool display made the controls look good at first, but thought it was very dangerous. Got used to it after a week of driving and still thought so.

The reason is that the physical button can be operated by glancing at the button if necessary, but the touch must keep your eyes on the icon until you touch it. Moreover, many controls are more than 2 depth, which can be more dangerous.

They ask what to operate while driving, but at least the air conditioner, wiper, radio, etc. needed to be operated, and the current speed and speed limit must be viewed at all times.

People say you can use the Autopilot while wearing it, but that's dangerous. If you don't look forward even for a few seconds, it will increase the probability of an accident, and an accident will come suddenly.

The Model S has a front dashboard and various buttons on the steering wheel, and if it's good to put everything in one display, there's no way I'll make an advanced line like that.

It's the wrong comparison between a smartphone and a feature phone. The display itself is a key function and product for smartphones, but driving and safety are key for cars.

🤖 Autopilot

I praised Autopilot so much that I decided to write it on various roads.

I thought the auto pilot would be able to go to speed bumps, traffic lights, three-way intersection or highway exit properly, but I can't. I almost got into an accident while trying to see where to stop and how to get there.

In other words, it can only be used on roads dedicated to cars, then it can only be used at the level of lane keeping adaptive cruises. This is quite a lot of support for cars these days.

Rather, these days, other cars have haptic assistance to the steering wheel when they have to put in the dark or rotate, but Tesla did not have that.

In addition, he did not slow down at the start, stop, and corner, or he was not very comfortable and anxious because of the fast acceleration and deceleration.

⚙️ OTA Update

The ride was not very good, there was a car push when the brake was removed from the uphill, and the automatic wiper often did not recognize rainwater properly.

If the OTA update were to refresh the car, I would expect this, but the basics are bad, so I don't think it means much. In Korea, there are no FSDs and no parking. It doesn't matter because the infotainment system updates are additional.

🗺 ️ navigation

Bad interface. I need to give you detailed information about the current road and the road in the direction you want to travel, but the Tesla navigation just tells you where it is in the shape of a normal map, so it's inconvenient.

I don't know if it's only for Korea, but I can't even use a better navigation because I can't connect to Korean navigation or Google navigation with carplay.

📑 Other

The rearview mirror folds automatically when you park in the supercharger. How do you reverse? It's common knowledge that it's dangerous to just look at the camera screen.

The ambient crash sensor is poorly marked and the distance is subtly different every time. I scratched it without realizing it. 😭

The watch is too small, no handle, and the air conditioner doesn't adjust the wind direction. There are many things that a car wouldn't have been comfortable with. They say you get used to Tesla, but in fact, I think you forget what's comfortable.
